A FREE Look at three done-in-one comic book stories, including Xeric winner "Jazz: Cool Birth."
1. The Xeric grant winning book "Jazz: Cool Birth" is a murder mystery in a 1957 jazz bar, with art and type inspired by '50s album cover design. The result is like nothing you've ever seen in a comic book before, a rich melange of bebop for your glims, a righteous groove without notes, dig? Put on some Monk, Miles or Coltrane and enjoy. Full page graphics and integrated '50s style type from Beatty.
"This is a major cool comic title...which absolutely captures the flavor of jazz clubs in the late '50s. It's unlike any other comic out there. A fantastic blend of art and text...
It really puts the graphic in graphic novel. The most different comic twist I've read this year." -- Paul Bishop, Bish's Beat
2. The vampire "hero" of "Seductions" is caught in a maddening cycle. He wakes 10 years after each feeding. The world changes around him and only two things remain: his desire to feed and a yearning for a long lost love. Not your mother's romance story! The book features impressive pencils by "Oz," "Dark Oz" and "Land of Oz" illustrator Bill Bryan and computer-over-pencils coloring by Beatty.
"Shot from artist Bill Bryan's compelling pencils and enhanced by Beatty's colors, Seductions draws the reader into the vampire's hunt for 'life' and love. One feels his pain even as one loathes his manipulative manner. Complete unto itself, this comic book is another satisfying done-in-one presentation.
Seductions earns four Tonys." -- Tony's Tips! by Tony Isabella, Comic Buyers Guide #1644
3. In "Adam Among the Gods," the lead character is an ugly, deformed creature surrounded by a race of beautiful, immortal humans. Adam was an early mistake by geneticists before they perfected the process that lead to a perfect world. Then things fall apart. Clean, streamlined art and inking from "Saint Germaine" artist James Lyle in a comic-within-a-comic format from Beatty.
"From the get-go, Beatty gives us characters with whom we can sympathize...He also provides an engaging story at a crisp, but not rushed pace, with a satisfying conclusion...all in one issue...
Adam Among The Gods is worth seeking out." -- Mark Allen, Suspended Animation, 4 Color Commentary.com

Temporal is an epic tale of high adventure and dark intrigue that spans the course of Earth’s existence. The reader is guided through the midst of savage battles, waged eons ago, by a mystical pre-human race; only to be thrust into the future to bear witness to Mankind’s last, desperate attempt to reunite a decaying society in time to prevent the implosion of the known universe.
The correlation between these two critical moments in time is provided in the form of several three-issue story arcs. The series chronicles the struggle of a central figure on a quest for answers that winds its way through many diverse periods in human history.
The protagonist of Temporal is a darkly enigmatic man of action who calls himself DaoRoch. The archetypical anti-hero, he’s an edgy drifter who is, at once, an honorable warrior and an unpredictable loner, beholden to no code of moral absolutes. The last of his kind, and able to exist in different eras, he provides the link between a lost race of ancient Earth and the murky future of humankind, circa 2500 AD.
DaoRoch is on a mission to locate seven magical books that, in the wrong hands, could trigger a catastrophic chain of events involving the expansion of wormholes and the evaporation of our reality. The books were penned in secret when the world was young, by rogue members of an ancient species called the Queterrik. DaoRoch’s connection to this species, and hence, the books as well, is revealed throughout the length of the series. It becomes clear early on that DaoRoch stands to gain personally in some way by acquiring these books. As a result, one must wonder if DaoRoch is truly a selfless champion of Earth’s preservation, or if saving the planet is just a convenient bi-product of his quest for power.
For a long time, the books – whose magic inspired the greatest tectonic events, billions of years ago – remained idle, each one buried on a separate continent. Many millennia later, the books were found by the first civilizations. Independently of one another, secret societies formed, each with an ancient, magical book at its center. For a variety of reasons, the books have been kept secret from mainstream society by their keepers, some of whom can be found pulling the strings, at the foundation-level, of the world’s superpowers.
Throughout human history, DaoRoch tracks the seven books. From ancient Egypt to America’s Wild West and beyond, he will systematically infiltrate the world’s various circles of power, in search of the books and his own destiny. Take a journey through the ages and discover why…

AOTE Premise:
A story of love, destruction, and other synthetic delusions of the... no, wait, what?
Basically, the premise of this comic series is that the world (i.e. dimension) that we all exist in is surrounded by a number of satellite realms which orbit this one, akin to how moons orbit a planet, but in this case the "moons" are alternate realities of our own. In order for these satellite realms to exist and remain stable, a certain balance of forces in this world must be maintained. This world can exist on its own in an "unbalanced" state, but it's dimensional moons cannot.
Agents Of The Endtimes follows the exploits of Starla, Fubar and Marnie, three Inter-dimensional Ancaluvion Agents, who travel from their world to ours to regulate the presense of inter-dimensional invaders. In other words, they kill monsters, on a fairly regular basis, to maintain the aformentioned dimensional balance.
