About

My name is David Brollier, but I guess the name of the website gave that away. There's supposed to be a way for visitors to view my "Profile" but since I can't figure it out I would be surprised if they could. So this page is so you'll know a little about me. I was in the mind of God before the heavens and the earth was created, and that causes me to wonder, "What was God thinking anyway?" Sure we know that God doesn't make any mistakes or mess things up or anything of the sort, but sometimes I wonder if He didn't just let one mistake slip by. Seriously, born July 30, 1952 to the greatest parents one could ask for, in a really great community. We weren't rich, but we had a nice home, food to eat, friends and a love for God. My parents taught me about the love of Jesus in their daily lives and I can never thank them enough for that. As time marches on I've found their minds to be as sharp as they ever were. I have a younger brother, who I reserved the divine right alone, to pick on when we were growing up. We are a close family. I went to Evangel Liberal Arts College (now Evangel University) where I recieved a bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies. I also met Barbara Ann Hunsicker, who later became my wife. We married on 7-7-73 and through great times and rough times she is my closest friend, and in some cases my own personal "Jimmeny Cricket". The husbands out there will understand what I mean by that. A few years after we were married we moved to New Jersey so I could find a job. I've worked as a TV artist, a manager trainee for Steak 'n Shake, a school custodian, a light maintenance worker, a security guard and a correctional officer. I'm currently a part time library clerk, having retired from corrections, writer and lay minister. It's taken all this time for God to get me in shape for what He has in store for me. As a writer I've written a lot of different things, most published only on websites that I've built. I've written articles, poems (and lyrics), editorials (most of those were published in the local paper), short stories, novellas and book length works. The latter being the lesser of all the rest because way back in the 70s I wrote a sci-fi trilogy, which still needs a lot of work to be completed. I've actually had to redo a lot of it because the computer files were lost or corrupted, forcing me back to the written or typewritten copies (that's how far back this goes). Anywho, when I began THE 3RD COVENANT I had some specific goals in mind. First to make it a story I would want to pick up and read. Second to have characters, situations and descriptions that I could believe and relate to. (I've even taken trips to verify some of the details mentioned in the story. There IS a turretted house on Rt. 100 in Emmaus, PA, for example). Third I wanted to show Christianity in action, both how Christians fail and how they rise above their failings. Forth, I was determined to stay with it until it was published. That meant two thorough proofreads (with partial edits), plus two complete re-writes before even submitting it for publication. Then I worked with the editor at PublishAmerica to get the final draft right (and still missed some things). However, I fulfilled each goal I had set out. Now if I can endure the promotion, accounting and all the other business end I'll be okay. I hope. Oh, you want to know what I look like? You sure? I'm a thin-as-a-rail 145 lbs, standing 6 feet tall. My wife, who must have some eyesight problem, says I'm still handsome. I have red hair and blue eyes. I also sport a mustache that always seems to come in a deep shade of blond.
