Nick Quantrill has lived in Hull all of his life and is a relative newcomer to the world of crime-fiction writing. Building up a strong catalogue of stories and a keen readership, ‘Punishment’, won the HarperCollins ‘Crime Tour’ short story competition in May 2006. Influenced by the idea that crime-fiction is the most effective way of exploring contemporary society, the future will see the author work towards completing full-length works set in the city.
